2. Course Registration and Payment

  • Registration for courses is completed via the Echo Academy website.

  • Payment must be made in full at the time of registration, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

  • Your place on a course is only confirmed once full payment is received and acknowledged by Echo Academy.

3. Course Delivery

  • Echo Academy delivers courses in online-only, hybrid (online + in-person), and in-person formats.

  • Details of course structure, delivery methods, venues, and dates are provided at the time of booking.

  • Echo Academy reserves the right to make reasonable changes to course content, faculty, or delivery format if necessary.

4. Entry Requirements

  • It is the participant’s responsibility to ensure they meet the stated entry requirements for each course.

  • Foundational courses do not require prior echocardiography experience.

  • Advanced courses recommend a minimum experience of approximately 20 independently performed transthoracic echocardiography scans.

5. Accreditation and Certification

  • Completion of a course does not automatically confer clinical accreditation.

  • Participants receive a Certificate of Attendance and CPD points where applicable.

  • Formal accreditations (e.g., BSE Level 1, FUSIC Heart) require successful completion of separate clinical assessments and logbooks, in accordance with the relevant accrediting bodies' policies.

7. Data Retention

6.1 In-Person and Hybrid Courses

  • Refunds are available up to four weeks prior to the course start date.

  • Cancellations within four weeks are generally non-refundable unless a replacement participant is secured, at Echo Academy's discretion.

  • Late withdrawals may prevent other candidates from attending, due to limited places.

  • In the event Echo Academy cancels or reschedules a course, participants may request a full refund or transfer to a future course.

6.2 Online-Only Courses

  • Full refunds are available within 14 days of registration provided the participant has not accessed, downloaded, or completed more than 5% of the course content.

  • Accessing modules, downloading materials, or completing assessments constitutes commencement of service and waives the right to a 14-day withdrawal under EU law.

  • Refund requests must be made in writing to the Echo Academy administration team.

6.3 Method of Refund

  • Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 14 working days of confirmation.

7. Intellectual Property

  • All course content, including images, videos, presentations, and documentation, remains the intellectual property of Echo Academy or its licensors.

8. Limitation of Liability

  • Echo Academy shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of participation in any course.

  • Participation in training does not substitute for independent clinical judgement.

9. Data Protection and Privacy

  • Echo Academy processes personal data in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

  • By registering, you consent to Echo Academy processing your information for course administration, certification, and necessary communications.

  • Full details are available in our Privacy Policy.
